Belinda thought after divorce, they would part ways for good - he could live his life on his own terms, while she could indulge in the rest of hers. However, fate had other plans in store. "My darling, I was wrong. Would you please come back to me?" The man, whom she once loved deeply, lowered his once proud head humbly. "I beg you to return to me." Belinda coldly pushed away the bouquet of flowers he had offered her and coolly replied, "It's too late. The bridge has been burned, and the ashes have long since scattered to the wind!"
They had already been more than accommodating. Why was he causing such a disturbance now!? Kristopher remained stationary, accepting a tissue from Lioran and gracefully cleaning his hands. His behavior and the act of wiping suggested that he found Joyce's touch repulsive. As Joyce regained her composure, she noticed Kristopher meticulously wiping his hands. Her heart dropped. Shortly thereafter, Kristopher discarded the tissue and, with a chilly demeanor, grabbed the microphone. “Rosie, Maggie, did you support Joyce because she agreed to give you half of my inheritance in a deal made yesterday?" As soon as Kristopher spoke, the crowd burst into commotion. Had Rosie, Maggie, and Joyce already agreed to divide Kristopher's inheritance? Yet, the news of Kristopher's supposed death had only been announced yesterday afternoon, and the trio had even held a press conference, tearfully mourning in front of the cameras. ALL the media in Nawrin had admired the family's close bond and felt sorry for Joyce, who appeared destined for widowhood right after her wedding. But now, Kristopher was disclosing that they had agreed last night to distribute his inheritance already. Were they truly that eager? They hadn't even conducted a funeral yet, and here they were, discussing the division of Kristopher's assets. As astonished whispers spread through the hall, the faces of the three women on stage grew stern. Rosie narrowed her eyes and fixed them on Kristopher. “What are you talking about? My bond with Joyce is strong because she is going to be your wife, and I treat her as kindly as I treat you. Is there something wrong with that?" Kristopher scoffed. "I have indeed seen how 'kindly' you treat her. But..." Kristopher's eyes then moved to Rosie, her face heavily made up. “Rosie, when have you ever shown me kindness? I don't remember any such time." A sarcastic smile appeared on Kristopher's face as he said, "Go on, tell me, when or in what way have you ever been kind to me?" Rosie, taken aback by his accusation, looked at him blankly, blinking rapidly as if trying to recall any moments of kindness toward him. But... no matter how hard she thought, she drew a blank Rosie couldn't remember a single instance when she had treated Kristopher kindly. Not even once. From the moment of Kristopher's birth, Rosie had never truly acknowledged him.
